Job Descriptions for the 2025-2026 Academic Year
Innovate Academy is a fast growing classical, Christian private school in Chadds Ford, PA serving students in Pre-K – 8th grade. Our unique learning community consists of parents, mentors (teachers), and local leaders committed to the Christ-centered spiritual formation of young scholars (students) through a collaborative education model combining on-site, at-home, and service-to-community learning.
Our mission is to engage children through a head, heart, and hands approach to learning in order to shape thoughtful, passionate, and entrepreneurial leaders of culture. The Innovate Academy school week schedule is Monday-Thursday 8:30am to 3:30pm on-site at our 24 acre campus. Fridays are work days at home, and also utilized for field work, field trips, and service days for Upper School scholars exploring careers.

Upper School (5th-8th Grade) Humanities Mentor
Innovate Academy is currently accepting applications from qualified individuals for an Upper School Humanities Mentor. We are seeking a mentor who feels a calling to teach in a rigorous Classical Christian school, with a curriculum designed to educate and challenge our upper school scholars through classical text and a biblical lens. There is potential for both full time and part time positions.
Purpose of Job:
An Upper School Mentor is responsible for creating and nurturing a classroom learning environment that reflects Innovate Academy’s mission and standards. This includes effective teaching of supplied classical education curriculum; demonstration of thoughtful, mature communications; willingness to grow in areas of professional development; maintaining a positive, team-oriented attitude; and exemplary spiritual leadership. The best candidate for this position has the skills and passion required to align the vision and goals of Innovate Academy with the growth and health of students, parents and staff.
Spiritual Leadership Qualities:
• Exhibits spiritual maturity, serving as a Christian role model both in and out of school
• Adheres to the Apostle’s Creed, consistent with our interdenominational school philosophy
• Sets an example for scholars, parents and fellow faculty members in speech, actions, attitude and judgment, by living in obedience to God’s Word and demonstrating a consistent daily walk with Jesus Christ
Organizational Skills:
• Maintains a clean, attractive, and well-ordered classroom. • Cooperates with Administration faculty in implementing all policies, procedures, and guidelines governing the operation of the school. • Maintains regular and accurate attendance and grade records for a comprehensive understanding of each student’s progress using provided platforms and procedures. • Keeps scholars, parents, and the Administration adequately informed of any deficiencies and provides suggestions for improvement.
Third Grade Mentor
Innovate Academy is currently accepting applications from qualified individuals for an Third Grade Mentor. We are seeking a mentor who feels a calling to teach in a rigorous Classical Christian school, with a curriculum designed to educate and challenge our young scholars through classical text and a biblical lens. The subjects our primary school mentors teach include, but are not limited to, Bible, Literature, Math, History/Geography, Spelling, Writing and Grammar..

This includes effective teaching of supplied classical education curriculum; demonstration of thoughtful, mature communications; willingness to grow in areas of professional development; maintaining a positive, team-oriented attitude; and exemplary spiritual leadership. Preschool Lead Mentor (Half Day)
Innovate Academy is currently accepting applications from qualified individuals for a Preschool Half Day Lead Mentor for the 2025-2026 school year. Our preschool program is for 4 and 5 year olds, and focuses on character development, building a biblical foundation, letter and number recognition, and other age appropriate skills. Hours for this position are 8:00 to 12:30, Monday-Thursday, with the possibility for a full time position with a role as an afternoon teachers assistant.
Our pre-kindergarten scholars begin at 4 years old in a blended age classroom environment. By the time scholars reach kindergarten they will have benefited from a hands-on, gently classical approach to learning incorporating both Charlotte Mason and Montessori methods. A teacher’s assistant is on-site in order to differentiate and personalize learning for Primary School scholars.
Kindergarten full time Assistant Mentor
Innovate Academy is currently accepting applications from qualified individuals for a Kindergarten full time Assistant Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. Our assistant mentors support our lead teachers and the scholars in the classroom by maintaining behavior standards, working one-on-one and in small group settings with scholars, overseeing recess and lunch time, and working in a professional learning team focused on student learning and growth.
Our kindergarten program focuses on reading, grammar, writing, and math skills through a hands-on, gently classical approach to learning incorporating both Charlotte Mason and Montessori methods. They also study science, art, and social-emotional wellness skills.
