Innovate Students and Home Schoolers are welcome to join a club!

Our after school club program offers fun, collaborative environments for exploring passions beyond the school day. Students grow in a variety of skills like communication, virtues and leadership as they work with peers and mentors in areas of music, theater arts, film, STEM, gardening, sports, and more. We offer new options each season.

MONDAY

This popular crafty club is back with more simple sewing projects and basic techniques that become more advanced with time. Projects in past club sessions included small tote bags, pillows, scrunchies and more. This club runs all year long, and Ms. Ann has requested a smaller group this year, so space is limited. Please only register if you can commit to the entire year.


Creative Delights Cooking Club

OPEN TO: 3rd - 8th Grade
START DATE:

January 20th, February 17th, March 10th

COST: $55

Scholars will be taught by one of our Innovate Mentors, Dana Falcone, who cooked in restaurants for years before she found her love of teaching kids. She is excited to bring these two passions together!

The scholars will learn different cooking skills, they will have a chance to create something for an outreach, they will learn how to prep a meal that they will ultimately cook for their families, and there also might be a friendly competition where they will have to create something from random ingredients as a team. The cost covers food and supplies.


TUESDAY

The Muses - Music on Tuesdays
Choose 1 or 2 tracks: Theater Arts and/or Music

MUSIC : Open to 4th - 8th grade

Music Muses begins Tuesday, January 14th, 2025.

There will be no after school club on March 11th, 25th, and April 15th.


Join us for our Spring production of Alice in Wonderland!

The Muses is the place for creative artists to choose a track – Theater Arts or Music OR BOTH – to prepare worship experiences and themed showcases that combine vocals, instruments, and acting to tell powerful stories from history and classic literature. The Muses club will share what they've learned at the Spring Showcase in May. Music Muses will meet on Tuesdays and Theater Art Muses will meet on Wednesdays. If a scholar is signing up for both Music and Theater Art Muses they will attend both practices on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Creative Writing

This creative writing class seeks to give students a space to, "Tell God's story creatively and effectively" through writing. We will explore various writing styles as we piece together an Innovate Academy Newsletter that reflects our schools value, tells our individual stories, and explores our school's rich history; all from the perspective of our creative writing team. Do you love journalism? Are you into writing and illustrating cartoons? Do you have a passion for our school and want to tell its story? Are you an evangelist who wants to get the truth out through thoughtful reflections? Then come join this club! There will be no after school club on March 11th.


 

WEDNESDAY

Theater Art Muses will have auditions on January 14th, 2025. Practices will begin on Wednesday, January 22nd, 2025. There will be no rehearsal on April 16th.

Art Club: Adventures in Clay!

OPEN TO: Kindergarten - 5th Grade

The Art Club:  Adventures in Clay!  This art club will include 10 weeks of fabulous clay projects, intertwined with a study of ceramics and 3D sculptures from art history.  Art periods will include: Renaissance, Mannerism, Baroque, and Neoclassical.  After a brief dive into art history, the artists will create clay pieces inspired from our studies.  Clay mediums will include polymer, air dry, and salt dough clay.  Students will learn how to handle tools correctly, use the materials safely, make slabs, pinch and coiled pots, jewelry beads and more!  The dates for this art club are: 1/22, 1/29, 2/5, 2/12, 2/19, 2/26, 3/5, 3/12, 3/19, 3/26

The Artist: Trisha Mae is an artist and art educator based in Chester County, Pennsylvania.  She is a former Innovate teacher, has a B.A. in Art Education, K-12, and has been a practicing Art Specialist since 2006, with experience in public, independent, and private schools.  Trisha Mae opened her first art studio as a professional artist at the Banana Factory in Bethlehem, Pa in 2012 and her studio is now based out of her home.  She led the children's ceramic program at the Community Arts Center in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania.  She has experience in a wide variety of mediums including: printmaking, painting, drawing, digital art, animation, photography, ceramics, sculpture building, and maker space projects.  As a professional artist she specializes in watercolor and charcoal, and now teaches art lessons privately.  Her greatest reward as an Art Specialist is her yearly art shows, showcasing the artwork of each individual student, Art shows have ranged from 15 to 800 individual artists, depending on the year and location.  In 2024 she completed her 17th "Spring Art Show".  Trisha Mae is excited to work with the artists from Innovate Academy, this winter!    


THURSDAY

(This Club is Full) Culture Makers Girls

OPEN TO: 3rd - 7th Grade

Thursday, February 6th, 2025 to Apil 10th, 2025 for 10 sessions.

This club encourages scholars to live out our school mission, "Every Child a Culture Maker." Scholars create good works for others by developing skills in service learning projects, community outreach, and studying through God’s word.  Mrs. Madison Mazzoli will lead scholars in a Bible study and lead service learning projects.
