Our Model
Education for us is about going back to go forward. We return to proven methods that have shaped scholars for centuries through a classical approach while moving forward with creative and innovative methods that make learning come alive.
Our academy is a classical, Christian, and collaborative model school utilizing five days of instruction for our Primary School, Lower School and Upper School. We combine the best of private schooling with parental involvement in academics, and independent study component for scholars to have a more personalized education. Our professionally trained mentors partner with parents to collaborate on each scholar’s goals together.
The Collaborate Model
There are now hundreds of schools across the nation that utilize a collaborative model with new schools developing each year. Scholars educated in this setting experience the independent skills of a college simulated work environment as they progress to older grades and, therefore, make a seamless transition to college. These schools are known for academic rigor, impressive SAT and ACT scores, and consistently produced National Merit Finalists. Graduates succeed at the most rigorous and selective universities. Innovate Academy is a member of the Association of Classical Christian Schools (ACCS) and is pursuing accreditation with the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.
Blended Instruction
Our blended model is a combination of on-campus, satellite and service learning instruction:
On-Campus Instruction
At Innovate Academy, your child will spend four full days on campus with professional classroom instruction (Monday-Thursday). Our Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten scholars are on campus for three half or full days with an option for a fourth enrichment day.
Satellite Instruction
Fridays are satellite instructional days with a focus on reading, math practice, independent study, and service projects. For the Upper School, mentors help personalize Friday plans to fit each scholar's area of interest. Parents serve as tutors or guides, rather than instructors on Friday. Families may also enjoy a museum, hobby, or meet up with other families for a class trip or service outing.
Service Learning Through Classes & Clubs
Character and leadership development for each scholar begins with our signature class called Culture Makers and extends into after school clubs on select afternoons. These include band, choir, film, theatre, gardening, culinary arts, robotics, and a variety of sports.
