Description: 

We will be divided into grade-appropriate sections, each group led on a tour by a skilled docent from 10:00-11:00. The museum has designed Inquiry-based tours that meet standards across the curriculum by building observation skills and encouraging critical thinking. Their renowned collection features work by American artists including three generations of the Wyeth family. 

After the tour, you are free to explore the museum with your children. There is plenty to explore around the campus. If the day is nice, you can stroll down the River Trail, a dirt path along the creek that leads under Route 1, continues with a boardwalk over wetlands and ends in the meadow behind the Chadds Ford Historical Society.

EATING: There is a small cafe that will be open and a grassy space, along with picnic tables are available if you choose to bring your own lunch (Be aware there is no fence at the water’s edge.)
