Maria Cristina Johnson

Kindergarten Enrichment

Maria Cristina, or Maricris for short, is a native of the Dominican Republic. She graduated from Eastern University with a BA in Sociology and a minor in French. She worked as a social worker before retiring to become a stay-at-home mom.

After homeschooling for about five years, she went on to teach preschool at a daycare in West Philadelphia. She loves learning and teaching children about the Lord and the world around us. 

Maricris has four children; Jasir, Jaden, Joel, and Carina. She feels very grateful to have been blessed with her children and enjoys spending time with them playing games, going to the beach, watching movies, and attending her boys’ basketball games. She also enjoys jogging and dancing. 

She’s grateful for the Lord’s hand in guiding her to Innovate Academy and is looking forward to a year of learning alongside the children.
